We strive to be a warm and welcoming oasis and mini-shop for knitters and needlepointers alike. We gather here to inspire, support and cajole each other through our projects. Beginners to advanced skill levels, all are welcome here!
Shop owner Scottie Kuper originally launched Knitters’ Haven in 2013 with the support and friend ship of loyal customers of the former Ewe n Me shop in La Quinta. Knitters Haven became a sanctuary of sorts, tucked away in a little corner of Indian Wells, where customers quickly became friends and friends became family.
In January 2020 we moved to Old Town La Quinta for the opportunity to grow and embrace ever more needle enthusiasts across the valley. In launching this new chapter, I re-branded Knitters Haven to “Knit and Needle”, to reflect all needle arts, not just knitting! Of course weavers, beaders and spinners are welcome, too!!
Knit and Needle is sustained primarily through membership, drop-in fees, classes, and a wee bit of shopping, thus we encourage all to join in the fun!
